Brownstones

One of the most beautiful neighborhoods in New York City is Brooklyn's Park Slope.
The buildings are encrusted with archane ornaments, which is a great source of inspiration to me.

A nearby sign supplied by the New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation reads
"Park Slope Historic District  ...Principally built between the Mid 1880s and World War I
Park Slope retains it profile of threeand four story buildings, punctuated by church steeples,
recalling Brooklyn's character as the city of homes and churches...
Victorian Gothic, Queen Anne, Romanesque Revival and other styles abound here.."

The street are deeply shaded with mature trees, creating cool grottos on even the hottest days.

   Dolphin Step, etching
These strange carvings are
two blocks from where I live.  They inspired the etching
on the left Dolphin Step.
What a place to sit
while you drink
your morning coffee.
