Death Valley

My fascination with America's largest and wildest desert national park began as official "Visiting Artist" in 2005, followed by repeats in 2006 and 2008. I returned in 2009 to teach drawing to a university geology field school. In 2012 the project culminated with a major exhibition at the Furnace Creek Visitors Center, Death Valley National Park Headquarters.
Work continues with studio paintings and graphic work about this profound wilderness.
