New York Harbor
With the growing health of New York harbor, people are reconnecting with the rivers, bridges and waterfront life.
The city is a magnificent set of islands
and a superb harbor all spanned by some of
the greatest bridges in the world.
Seeking new ways to portray this great architecture,
I have skulked about the waterfront and bridge buttresses in several neighborhoods.
I have my favorites--the Verrazano, the Brooklyn and especially the rusticated stone piers of the Manhattan Bridge.
